Toolkit: Confronting Xenophobia Through Community Solutions

This toolkit is a practical resource designed to support community organizers, grassroots leaders, service providers, and community champions in developing and implementing anti-racism campaigns through a clear, step-by-step process. It offers tools, strategies, activities, and reflective exercises that help communities identify local issues, engage diverse voices, build partnerships, and co-create meaningful actions that address racism and xenophobia. Grounded in community-based approaches, the toolkit encourages collaboration, dialogue, and culturally responsive practices to help organizers move from ideas to action while strengthening community resilience and belonging.

This resource was developed based on workshops presented at the Pathways to Prosperity 2025 and Metropolis 2026 conferences, where participants from across Canada contributed ideas, insights, and promising practices for advancing anti-racism initiatives at the local level.
