Do you want to help make the Township of Langley more accessible?

The Township of Langley is inviting people with lived and learned accessibility experience to join our Accessibility Committee, created in support of the Accessible BC Act.

Candidates may also represent a broad range of under-served and equity-seeking groups such as, but not limited to: Indigenous Peoples, faith-based groups, LGBTQ+, newcomers, new Canadians, persons living in poverty, people of diverse ethnic or cultural origin, seniors, women, and youth.

Committee members will work together to:

• Assist the Township in identifying barriers to individuals in or interacting with the organization
• Advise the Township on how to remove and prevent barriers to individuals in or interacting with the organization
• Support the development and review of a Township accessibility plan

The Committee will consist of maximum 10 members and meet approximately four times per year over a two-year term. Committee members may reapply for a subsequent term after each two-year term.
