Rotary 50/50 Mega Draw: Four Langley Rotary Clubs again have the 50/50 draw with a minimum $50,000 jackpot. Last year’s jackpot was $315,000. Ticket packages start at $20. Available until Sunday, Aug. 18. Info: www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/langleyrotary.

Community Harvest: Langley Environmental Partners Society (LEPS) would like to hear from people with fruits and vegetables to donate to the gleaning program. People with too much produce get it harvested by volunteers. One third goes to the owner, one third to the volunteer and one third to people in need. Reduces food waste. Probus Club: Langley residents able to join Maple Ridge Probus Club, a social group for semi-retired and retired people 55-plus. Group meets third Thursday of the month except in summer. Bat walk: Langley Field Naturalists invite public to nighttime event Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 23936 14A Ave. (park on 14A Avenue). Join Keith Chrystall starting at 8:30 p.m. to see large numbers of bats emerge from their daytime roost. Bring chairs. No toilet available. Register in advance: 604-427-3725.
