COMMUNITY CALENDAR: May days around Langley

Grad reunion: Langley Secondary School class of 1974 will gather June 8, 2024, for the 50th year reunion. Former students or those who know 1974 grads can find out more by contacting tom_sharron@shaw.ca.

Hope Meets Action: Echoes through the Black Continuum: New display about Black history in B.C. is at Fort Langley National Historic Site from May 3 to Dec. 12. Created in partnership with the B.C. Black History Awareness Society and the Royal BC Museum.

BC Farm Museum: Open for the season from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at 9131 King St. in Fort Langley. Museum features a children’s scavenger hunt, murals, interactive storytelling tech, and more than 6,000 items on display. Admisison by donation. Info: bcfma.com.

Dragon boat youth program: Open to kids in Grades 8 to 12. No experience required. Fort Langley Canoe Club program runs Tuesdays and Fridays until June 22. Sessions are 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. at Bedford Channel. $100 (GST included) fee includes paddles, safety equipment, coaching plus regattas (June 1 and June 22 at False Creek.
