It’s time to vote for the 15th annual Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards!
Canadian Immigrant magazine has opened the national online voting portal and is inviting all Canadians to vote for your favourites among the shortlist of 75 finalists at: canadianimmigrant.ca/top25.
Presented by Western Union along with program partners Windmill Microlending and COSTI Immigrant Services , this coveted award recognizes and celebrates the untold stories of Canadian immigrants who have made a significant contribution to Canada, in a variety of professions and from coast to coast. Returning in 2023 are special honours for a standout Youth and Entrepreneur, to be chosen among the Top 25.
Our past winners have been examples of true nation builders, from entrepreneurs to artists, academics, community volunteers, sports heroes, philanthropists, inventors and visionaries, from across Canada. Their motivations, circumstances and timing for coming to Canada are as varied as their backgrounds. Nonetheless, each of the winners’ stories shares a common theme: rising to a challenge and using that opportunity to make Canada a better place for all.
The hundreds of nominations we received this year from across the country were reviewed by a judging panel composed of past winners. The entries have been narrowed down to a shortlist of 75 finalists who represent diverse ethnic communities, cities and industries across Canada.
“After 15 years, it’s truly an honour for us to recognize another 75 finalists and 25 winners in this one-of-a-kind national awards program,” says Sanjay Agnihotri, publisher of Canadian Immigrant. “As immigration numbers continue to rise, it’s more important than ever for us to continue celebrating the important contributions immigrants and refugees have on Canada. These 75 finalists are inspiring examples of what it means to make your adopted country a better place. We can’t wait to see who Canada chooses as our Top 25 in the 15th annual edition of our awards.”
