This exposure affects their mental health proportionally\, preventing them from performing their job properly jeopardizing their own wellbeing. This webinar aims to go over the guidelines and best practices that Executive Directors (EDs) and leaders in the Settlement and Integration sector can adopt at their organizations to support and enhance staff capacity and techniques to overcome burnout but also to ensure higher retention rates.\n___\nSoutenir le bien-être du personnel de première ligne du secteur de l’établissement et de l’intégration : un webinaire à l’intention des gestionnaires et des cadres dirigeants \nLe personnel de première ligne du secteur de l’établissement et de l’intégration gère quotidiennement des situations difficiles et complexes qui se sont intensifiées pendant la pandémie de COVID-19. Leur exposition à de telles situations se répercute proportionnellement sur leur santé mentale\, les empêchant d’effectuer correctement leur travail et mettant en péril leur propre bien-être. Ce webinaire a pour but de passer en revue certaines lignes directrices et pratiques exemplaires que la direction générale et les cadres du secteur de l’établissement et de l’intégration peuvent mettre en place dans leur organisme afin de soutenir le personnel et de renforcer leurs compétences et les techniques utilisées pour surmonter l’épuisement professionnel ainsi que pour assurer un taux élevé de rétention.

DESCRIPTION:This webinar\, hosted by ISSofBC’s BC Refugee Hub\, will focus on innovative employment programs for refugees and refugee claimants. We will share challenges\, best practices and successes in supporting newcomer refugees and refugee claimants in connecting to meaningful employment in the Canadian labour market. \nWe will hear from YWCA’s Afghan Women’s Employment (AWE) program\, an employment and training program that supports Afghan refugee women in exploring and securing careers or further education in Canada. \nWe will also hear from ISSofBC’s Gateway to Tourism & Hospitality Jobs for Newcomers program\, a free program that helps immigrants\, refugees and refugee claimants access free fully funded training opportunities to find tourism and hospitality jobs. \nLearn about both programs approaches\, challenges\, successes and program models during this live webinar.
