DESCRIPTION:The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on our societies and economies\, of which women\, especially women of colour\, Indigenous women\, and low-income women\, have been disproportionately impacted. \nAn upcoming virtual event on the “Impact of COVID-19 on Gender Equality” organized and hosted by the Sister2Sister program\, at  Newcomer Women’s Services\, Toronto\, spotlights this issue. \nThe free day-long virtual summit looks at the impacts of COVID-19 through an intersectional gendered lens in order to build a resilient world\, especially for the women and girls at the centre of recovery.  The Sister2Sister program supports the journey to recovery.
